Voor het opbouwen van een bestaan in Nederland is voldoende kennis van de Nederlandse taal en de samenleving noodzakelijk. Voor bijna elke opleiding of baan wordt deze kennis van u gevraagd. En ook in uw dagelijkse leven komt u dit van pas. In een inburgeringsprogramma krijgt u Nederlandse taalles of te wel Nederlands als Tweede Taal, NT2. Ook leert u het een en ander over de Nederlandse samenleving en over de arbeidsmarkt. In het inburgeringsprogramma wordt vaak een combinatie van NT2 en werk of NT2 en een beroepsopleiding aangeboden. Na het volgen van zo’n programma kunt u gemakkelijker uw weg vinden in de maatschappij.
It is essential that you have a sufficient command of the Dutch language and knowledge of the society if you are to build a life in the Netherlands. Proficiency in these areas is required for nearly any job or educational programme and is also useful in everyday situations. As part of the integration programme, you will receive Dutch language lessons, otherwise known as Dutch as a second language or ‘NT2’. You will acquire general knowledge of Dutch society and of the job market. The integration programmes often consist of a combination of NT2 and work or NT2 and vocational training. Once you have completed an integration programme, you will have an easier time navigating your way through society.
